Willowbrook School Principal Scott Carlson has been accepted by Northbrook/Glenview School District 30 to take on the post of Director of Human Resources, effective July 1. Superintendent of Schools Emily Tammaru stated her trust in Carlson’s qualifications for the post, citing his expertise, devotion to staff assistance, and commitment to developing employee connections.
Professional Background and Experience
Scott Carlson has been Willowbrook’s principal since July 2014, with an emphasis on instructional leadership, personnel, professional development, and engagement with District 30 officials. Carlson has 23 years of experience in education, having previously served as a school psychologist at Sunset Ridge and Middlefork Schools in Northfield and then as principal at Barbara B. Rose Elementary School in Barrington. Barbara B. Rose was designated a National Blue Ribbon School during his tenure.

Carlson underlined the significance of stressing the “human” factor while managing human resources in District 30. He expressed excitement about using existing employees’ devotion and desire to attract a diverse pool of outstanding instructors while fostering and supporting the present teaching personnel.
